Odd question

Does anyone have a laptop with a power cord that would be compatible with my Dell Inspiron laptop? It's a few years old, and I'm having power issues. I would like to borrow someone's cord for a few minutes to see if the problem IS the cord (in which case I will buy a new one) or if your cord doesn't work for me then the issue is obviously in the

Your welcome to try mine, but from the sounds of it most likely will not work as my puter is a Compaq. I should see ya Sat afternoon and I can make it a point to bring it with.

When my cord broke, I went to the best buy on a whim. And I asked them if they could test the cord and they did. And I bought a new cord. They tested the cord for free which was awesome. Then I called Sony (who made my computer) and ordered a new cord. And now everything is hurray.

Just a thought.
