I came home around 9 tonight, and went up onto my porch and immediately smelled gas. I opened the door to my apartment, and smelled A LOT of gas. I set down my backpack, turned around, and walked right back out to my car in the parking lot, got in, and looked up MG&E on my phone. Found the emergency number, called. Oh my FSM, I am so glad you're okay. You really did save that man's life. I'm glad that you know what to do in that situation and that you acted so fast. Hopefully your neighbor will be much more careful next time.

His, and mine, and the other two people in the building, and all of our many cats.

I think he will be more careful, but that's assuming he's not going senile - which seems possible.
