Chelsea to vet
Right after I posted my last entry, I look at the symptoms I wrote down and called the vet. I took her in today to have x-rays & blood work done. She was feeling really lousy and didn't even eat her dog biscuit for getting on the scale ( Read more... ) -
dog sick.
We have a sick dog. She has been on two round of antibiotics & is on her third. The vet says that it's kennel cough, but I'm thinking she might be sicker than that now. She is very low energy, not interested in food as much, and doesn't even finish her meals! She often coughs up food and stuff after eating. Last night, she woke me up with her ( Read more... ) -
Lavender Syrup
2 C sugar
4 C water
1/2 C fresh or 1/4 C dried lavender flowers
Put all into saucepan. Heat to boiling, simmer 5 minutes. Allow
syrup to cool with flowers in it. Strain and bottle. Store in
refrigerator. Will keep for several months. -

I have many wax beans (like green beans, but yellow) on my desk & need to find something to do with them tonight for dinner. Suggestions??? -

Theatre dress code
This evening, we are going to see Anything Goes at the amphitheater, which hosts a great production annually. I'm very excited to go, even though it will be outside and ninety degrees. Our dog loves water biscuits (ice cubes). She crunches on them after lounging in her wading pool outside to cool off.
