Summary: When Onew is allowed to play with fire
They sparkled like diamond dust on a dewy morning, standing out against the black sky. The smoke burned his eyes and made him cough in short bursts, but the colors glowed beautifully with all the other shooting lights.
“Careful with the sparklers,” Key called out. Nag, nag, nag. Onew twirled the sparklers around in a circle and encased himself in a show of bright fire, mesmerizing the young Taemin sitting on the grass beside him.
“You want to see something really special?” Taemin nodded eagerly, expecting to see more than just a few twinkles.
Onew smirked and spun faster, waving the sparkler around like a mad man expecting to defeat Voldemort. They settled, collected, and together caught into a small fire, burning the grass into a ring of charred vegetation.
“Crap!”
“Onew,” Key screeched, “Get a bucket of water, the hose, something!”
“Everything he does is the Onew condition!” Jonghyun and Minho sang together.
