Summary: Jaejoong and Yoochun want good seats for the movie, Changmin declares he will get in between them.
Hmm... well last month I was at a party with my friends and we were acting very "friendly" with each other. Then one of my friends suggested I write a fanfic about us and I blanked out for a moment because I didn't see our actions as too... much. I wrote all of it then except for the last part because I gave up on it. Finally, I just said screw it and BSed the last three paragraphs. Wrote this stupid thing for her...
“I can’t stay the night,” Changmin declared. Even after they had all chosen their beds and who was sleeping with whom. Changmin vehemently refused to bunk with Jaejoong because of their previous experiences sleeping together. Yoochun protested too, ever so slightly, for the same reasons. The youngest animatedly told the tales of Jaejoong’s bad night habits only to embarrass the older.
“One time, he slept upside down and with his feet on my face! Yoochun had it okay, he lay firmly and undisturbed.” Jaejoong had slept with his head on his soulmate’s thighs that night. “Another time we slept on a bigger bed, one that could fit all three of us, and he shimmied his way out between us and unplugged the floor fan to let us die in the hot summer heat. The bastard then left us to the living room and turned on the ceiling fan, sleeping there until morning.”
Junsu and Yunho listened intently because they knew one of them would have to sleep with Jaejoong in the end. “It’s my bed, I’m sleeping in it!” Yoochun announced when the sleeping arrangements were being discussed.
“And the last time was also terrible. We were on the couch’s pull out mattress and he took up all the room -”
“I had knee surgery! I was sleeping in the middle of the bed to begin with, and I was still sick!” But the argument ended there when Yunho rolled onto a mattress with Jaejoong and didn’t mind being snuggled up with.
“When one of my sisters comes home and we don’t have enough room, we’ll huddle up together; I’m just used being close to others.”
“It’s okay,” Yunho grinned with Jaejoong’s legs thrown over his entire torso, “I sleep with my dog.” And Jaejoong was only slightly insulted as Changmin and Junsu huddled up in the sheets on Yoochun’s younger brother’s bed.
But halfway through the Christmas special, Changmin got a call from the big lady and had to head home, all his complaints for nothing.
‘Serves you right!’ Jaejoong smirked as he coaxed the housecat out of Yoochun’s lap and into his. The cat seemed to like him enough, but loved Yoochun more apparently. It wasn’t until the very end of the movie that the feline left the warmth of Yoochun’s blanketed legs and leapt onto Jaejoong’s. Not even caring about the movie anymore, Jaejoong stole glances at Yoochun to show his triumph at seducing the cat. “I’m sleeping with you then.”
That night, the four remaining talked about all things girls and relationships. Yoochun, the reigning romanticist, asked questions from their fetishes to what turned them off, to the attitude they hated the most in a girl. They all agreed that a girl couldn’t be too flirty and touchy-feely and didn’t need to be sensitive all the time.
“There is this girl in my private English class that I can’t stand! She acts like she knows everything…I don’t really know how to describe it,” Yunho mumbled from across the room.
“Arrogant?” Jaejoong whispered out.
“I’m not really sure what that means, honestly.” And Junsu laughed openly, Jaejoong snickering into Yoochun’s shoulder. By that time, Yoochun had already drifted off to sleep and the other three were just then getting social.
“Yoochun! Yoochun! Ask another question! We can’t think of any good ones!” Junsu called out, but it wasn’t a shout, just a very loud whisper into the night.
As much as Jaejoong wanted to huddle up behind Yoochun just to spite him, there was a dog in his way and he was too nice to move it. Instead, he lay with one leg falling off the side of the mattress and only half a bed sheet as the dog rested on the other half. The separation between him and Yoochun kept him colder than he wanted, and in the morning all he wanted was to hold someone tightly.
“Ayyy girl,” Yoochun sang when he saw Jaejoong the next day at a party. Sometimes Jaejoong felt like Yoochun’s bitch, at other times Jaejoong said the same to him. Their greeting with Changmin is a cold one. Cold with bitter jokes and the aftertaste of ‘I don’t know what the fuck you are talking about.’
Changmin smiled at the pair, shared a hug with the host, grabbed a slice of pizza, and sat next to Onew and Jonghyun at the table. Who needs to sit next to friends when it is easier to see them across a table and there is an empty seat there?
While Changmin conversed with the two enthusiastically, Yoochun and Jaejoong worked diligently at making Lego models of spaceships. Party activities the host said, and soon all the boys were actively joining in. Junsu was getting really good at snapping just the right pieces together, while the youngest three, Changmin, Onew, and Jonghyun all lazily cracked stupid jokes and stole Lego pieces from each other.
The three would randomly burst out laughing and yell about some mishap their class went through while Jaejoong and Yoochun struggled to even decide what to make. “Hey Yoochun!” Changmin yelled from across the width of the table. “Your mamma so stupid, she tried to climb Mt. Dew!” All three guffawed into their hands and slapped the table hard enough for a few Legoes to fall off. Junsu only smiled mildly, not really one to laugh at other’s jokes.
“It’s not that I don’t like people, or that I don’t find them funny, I just think that once the moment has blown over, it isn’t a big deal anymore. It makes it hard for me to get close to people,” Junsu had secretly told Jaejoong the night before, long after Yunho and Yoochun had fallen asleep. Jaejoong nodded into the darkness, understanding completely, but with Yoochun he was willing to be stupid and affectionate.
With Yunho absent from said party and Junsu warily shy with the other guests, he stuck close to the other three. They didn’t mean to do it on purpose, but they excluded Junsu just a bit when their intimacy was put on the line.
“I know building stuff is cool, guys, but we have to start the movie soon or else the party will run late. My grandparents are here, the party will not run late.” And everyone got up from the table and stuffed their little toys into bags of candy with only a few groans.
“I am so cockblocking you two.” At this declaration, Yoochun and Jaejoong got defensive. Jaejoong grabbed Yoochun’s arm and rested his head demonstratively, both objecting to Changmin. “I am so cockblocking you two!” The two rushed to the only open couch and settled in the corner, Jaejoong on the far side, Yoochun next to him, Changmin just missing his opportunity to be a tease, and Junsu filing into the little open space left.
As the movie started, Yoochun whined in his deep voice, “Aw, I can’t see the screen; it is blocked by the Christmas tree.” Jaejoong, who was in the perfect line of vision at the end, immediately pulled Yoochun’s head to rest on his chest.
“Better now?” Jaejoong asked gently into his hair. Yoochun grinned mischievously and nodded, extending his legs onto Changmin as Jaejoong did the same to him.
Just as limbs layered limbs, the youngest shoved Junsu off the couch and spread his legs out in the now empty space, proceeding to drop his heavy head onto Yoochun’s lap and snuggle calmly. “I will not be laid on!” The arrangements met many revisions as the movie went on, mostly with whose leg was on top of whose, and in Jaejoong’s case, between whose.
“Yoochun, Changmin, whosever’s legs these are, close them!” And Changmin shut his thighs to warm Jaejoong’s cold bare feet. Satisfied, Jaejoong wrapped his arms around Yoochun and went back and forth between the movie and the other guests.
Junsu lodged himself between two strangers on the floor, and Onew and Jonghyun sat awkwardly in the corner away from the others. Jaejoong had to hold back remarks about the two idiots on the couch beside them, not managing so well at one point and letting a comment slip.
“You talking about me?” The bigger idiot questioned, not even sure what had been said. Jaejoong shook his head in denial, but Changmin had seen it.
“You’re so insensitive!”
“I am not!” Especially since insensitive is not the same as rude.
As the plot of the movie reached its peak and the female lead warned the male lead of a horrible prophecy, the guests all grew antsy. Changmin had shifted again and stolen more of the blanket off of Jaejoong’s waist. “It’s because she is a woman, no one will listen to her,” Jaejoong absent mindedly said, causing everyone to laugh at the truth of the statement.
“Insensitive jerk,” Changmin mumbled again. Jaejoong only huffed and futilely attempted to pull the blanket back over his arms without smothering Yoochun’s face.
“He’s sensitive when he needs to be,” Yoochun protectively defended.
“Aww,” Jaejoong petted Yoochun on the head, “I love you.”
Yoochun smirked, basking in the attention and compliments. ‘Yes, praise me more.’ But his happiness faded when Changmin accidently dropped a sticky lollipop onto his arm. “Brat! How old are you? Ten?” Changmin grinned shyly and licked Yoochun’s arm clean in apology.
Seeing this small interaction and feeling oddly left out, Jaejoong shifted, sliding Yoochun further up his lap, and tugged the blanket towards his shivering arms. That little nudge turned into a full on war of who had more of the blanket between he and Changmin. It continued until Changmin stopped and let out an exasperated laugh. “God, look at us, three guys cuddled up together while everyone else is giving us the evil eye for being too loud. We are so perfect together.” Yoochun laughed too, hugging onto Changmin and going back to the movie. The oldest and the youngest shared a glance and knew just what was going on.
The three of them together had such chemistry together, and while sometimes two of them would get too absorbed with the other or someone else entirely, they had the best moments when all three shared a joke and didn’t fight their skinship
