At least the patio door is raised a bit above the patio so the water doesn't come into the apartment! You could perhaps open the glass door and watch it (and the kitties reaction) thru the screen door?
I like to watch storms too. Well sometimes. This is a nut who a few years ago was standing outside of her office with a friend while the tornado sirens were going off :PP.
Glad you like the new place. *sigh* unfortunately hun they can't fix the patio till it quits raining so catch 22 :PP
