I have a bunch of different cast iron skillets, vintage and new. For the money Lodge makes a good one, just keep slathering that baby with bacon grease.

I bought a trio of Lodge skillets, and I've been happy with them. My niece bought me a huge skillet I could cook for an army with; I have no idea what to do with it, since all my cooking is done at my Mom's (and she has her own skillets), or just for me.

I grew up cooking with cast iron, which is why it's so mystifying that I don't own a nice cast iron skillet. I keep asking for them for Christmas and keep getting pie plates and shit instead. >_

It is good to know you're still around! Even with surgeries and Logan's medical needs (???!), and not writing as much as you should. Good luck on getting your skillet.
