the international support that we have is incredible yet you barely hear about it.

From my Irish friend:
Tomorrow is a national day of mourning here. Everything is going to close down.

My eyes sting from dirt & smoke. I have to show ID to get down my street. This is all still so surreal. Sinking in slowly.

in Copenhagen, Denmark, people starting flocking to the square in front of city hall as they heard the news. hundreds of flowers have been left in front of the american embassy here, and it continues. Last night there was a memorial at a church, which the queen & lots others attended. and today at noon there was 1 minute of silence for the victims, all the busses stopped in the street for that minut.
just thought you'd like to know :)

Here in the Netherlands all big events have been cancelled for the coming days. Tomorrow there will be an official day of mourning. Flags will go half-mast high and we will have three minutes of silence. Me and thousands others did put flowers at the American Embassy and signed the book of condoleance. Our hearts are with the victims, their relatives, and their friends.
I do have friends in NY, and thank god, they're all right.
We do wish all of you a lot of power and strength!

Your buds are SO fucking sweet, M. They emailed me today and asked how everything was.

No, I'm not going on Saturday.

But as soon as I CAN go, I will go.
