Me & my friend S spent the last 8 hours walking. We met up with volunteers at Charos Community Center & local congresswoman Margarita Lopez. We canvassed low income housing S. of Houston, where it had been closed till yesterday - knocking door to door & making sure elderly/poor/disabled had food & medicines. Then we delivered it after the only food

Honey, you were in the line of fire. I can't even begin to imagine how much worse it would be. Do things at your own pace, and know that we are sending you all the support and energy we can.
I know a lot of us feel a little guilty returning to any semblance of normalcy, but really, we don't know what else *to* do.

you are doing amazing. everything you feel is the right thing to feel. i admire your strength. but take care of yourself - try to eat, try to sleep.

You did a wonderful thing. Wish I could be there to do the same. Otherwise, being so far away (TX), all we've done so far is contribute to the Red Cross via Claire's class. She came home so concerned over "those peoples hurt in the burning building that need money" that it made my eyes tear up when she emptied out her change from her jewelry box in addition to our check.
