CHARACTER
» Name: Gaap
» Fandom: Uminkeo no Naku Koro ni

Umineko Wiki» Canon Point: Post Episode 4
» Gender: Female
» Age: Unknown. She's a demon and has presumably been living for thousands of years. Despite this, she appears in her twenties.
» Orientation:Within the series, Gaap often jokes about how it would be easy to fall in love with certain men. It becomes a running joke of sorts, her catch phrase being "but only if he's hot!" So Gaap seems to lean towards heterosexuality.
Given the nature of Amat, however, Gaap might branch out if only to stay alive. She's a demon and thus does not follow the same code of morals that most humans will. If she feels it necessary to sleep with someone of the same gender to stay alive, she would have no issues with it.
» Personality:Gaap is one of the 72 Demons of hell and takes pride in this title. She sometimes likes to brag about it and how difficult it can be to summon her. The demon, who has the ability to create gaps and holes to drop things or people into, is described as being the "Queen Bee" due to both her personality of being in charge and out going and her ability to deliver terrifyingly crushing spin kicks. She employs many of these in her fight with George Ushiromiya during the fourth chapter in which for some time, she holds the upper hand in the fight. Her ability to open portals gives her the edge and she boasts about how she'll take pleasure in fighting a man who is strong. She lectures George on what it means to have strength, explaining that George thinks is weak. Though her pride is wounded when George seems to take the advantage (and she begins to become angry and frustrated at the possible thought of losing to a mere human), she also uses this to her own advantage by leading George into believing he might win. She is cunning and opens a portal at the moment George least expects, causing him to deliver a fatal punch to his own cousin Jessica.
Being as flamboyant and out going as she is cunning, Gaap loves to shop and dress extravagantly. Often her bright clothing matches her vivid personality. She frequently teases Beatrice and Virgilia, giving them pet names such as "Lia" and "'Riiche". She jokes around with Ronove. Her mischievous personality also displays itself in the way she uses her powers. Her ability to open gaps is often used to hide things from witches and humans alike. When humans find things like keys missing, it's usually Gaap's fault.
Not only is Gaap outgoing, but she's also intelligent. As mentioned, Gaap is incredibly cunning, using other people's weaknesses or strengths to her advantage. But not only that, Gaap also takes part in the logic battles between Battler and Beatrice, giving input and proving a few theories wrong. Gaap is ruthless, having no mercy when she fights, and often using tricks to her advantage without thought of "playing fair," like how she uses George's own power against him
Finally, despite her frightening side, Gaap is affectionate with the people she's close to. As mentioned, she gives pet names to her friends and when she isn't fighting you, she'll be friendly and talk with ease.
» Appearance:Gaap stands at about 5'10", fairly tall especially since she's usually seen wearing stylish platform or stiletto heels. She also makes a point to dress stylishly, her clothing always coming from well known shops in Hell such as "Devilish Pretty" (a parody of the well known and expensive
Angelic Pretty lolita store). Gaap's dress is bright red with a large slit that travels all the way up to her breasts, giving a peak at her bosom which is noticeable on its own.
Not only is her clothing bright and noticeable, but Gaap's features are as well. She has cunning blue eyes and a head of bountiful orange curls that are adorned with a hat that matches her dress.
» Abilities:➥ PORTALS: Among the 72 demons, Gaap is especially frightening considering her ability to open pits and portals with a simple snap of her fingers. They can pop up anywhere she wants and at any time. She usually uses this ability to hide keys and things from mortals and witches alike, but it can be a devastating power to keep enemies off their guard.
➥ FIGHTING: Even in her heels and fancy dresses, Gaap is a powerful fighter, using high and spinning kicks to take out opponents or force the heels of her stilettos into the bodies of her enemies. The kicks are powerful, strong enough to knock even the largest men on their backs. She uses these kicks in combination with her pitfalls to take out her enemies without much effort on her part.
➥ MAGIC: Combined with Beatrice's powers, Gaap can resurrect and kill humans as often as she wants. This is a frightening ability that allows her to kill a person as often as she wants to by simply reviving them and killing them again.
➥ RED TRUTH: Like any witch or demon, Gaap can use the powerful "Red Truth", the ability to speak absolute truth that is highlighted in red in logic battles. This ability is useful in that it can be twisted while still remaining a truth, making logic and word battles difficult for anyone to follow. The only defense against Red Truth is Blue Truth, or a subjective truth. During the games on Rokkenjima, Gaap was only able to use Red Truth that Beatrice sanctioned, since the game board is run by the witch.
❖ Due to the nature of the collars, Gaap's ability to open portals or use Red Truth is blocked, but she can still use her deadly spinkicks.
