I agree that people in the military are called to defend our country and I support them doing it. It is a noble and curageous job. (And they look good in the uniforms) The "sending troops overseas to die" argument stems from the fact that the Iraq war had no specific reasoning behind it or goals for the long term. I lean toward pacifism and don't really agree with Afghanistan either but at least that stuggle has merit. Saddaam was not involved in 9/11. He had no wmd. Granted he did bad things to his people but so do lots of people. In the history of the nation, we have sent many people overseas to DEFEND our country who miht have died or been wounded in the process. But to send soldiers for no reason to die is a different issue all together. I'm sad that Bush and Burr won but a lot of people support their mindsets. I want to see the good in them and would love a lesson on how they are going to help me and hte reson of the nation/world in the comming years. I just want to know who are we going to preemptively strike next?
