Naoto had a 'home' that was hers.

Did she ever mention that she hated that idea?

It seemed foreign, not fitting. So Naoto actually spent most of her time not in her 'home'. It was just a shelter, a place to return to when her body demanded sleep. The woman spent her time walking around, trying to become familiar with area. She, too, had been attacked, a bandage secure on her right thigh.

Not paying attention, she knocked into Naraku's shoulder. She muttered out an absent minded 'sorry' before she turned in his direction. The clothes... It wasn't the face they were torn, but... out there.

Naraku sensed the human coming. How could he not with that wound on her leg? However, Kagewaki would not have known. Naraku's eyebrows shot up in mock surprise as he turned to the girl. He eyed her strange clothing for a second--both he and Kagewaki would be in agreement over this--and then stepped back.

"Are you alright, miss?"

"Just fine." Well at fine as Naoto could be. The white bandages contracted her black attire. Not to mention she was in slight pain, But she wouldn't complain about something like that. "I could ask you the same thing." She stopped her pace and turned around fully.

Naraku lifted his wrist with a slight, self-mocking smile.

"Oh, this?" He turned his hand over, causing his ripped sleeve to slide a little open.

"It's nothing. I just wasn't prepared for what I found."

"What was it that you found?"

Naraku's smile faded as quickly as it had come. He let his hand drop back to his side before responding.

"The demons are strong here." What he really meant was that his abilities weren't working properly and he felt practically human. Of course, Naraku would never say something like this. It would ruin his disguise. However, the thought remained.

"So I've been told," and experience taught her that too.

Naraku's eyebrows lifted at the statement.

"You haven't encountered one yet?" There was a pause while he assessed the human once more. There didn't seem to be anything special about her, but appearances were deceiving as well he knew. "Or is it that you are able to defeat them with ease?"

If Naoto was anyone else, she would have idly glanced at the injury to her leg. "I have. It's not what I'm used to." Naoto was used to fighting people, humans... kind of. But monsters like that, yeah no. They happened not to be anywhere on her list.

Naraku eyed the wound while listening to her reply.

"I suppose we have that in common." Although what Naraku wasn't used to was not having his full range of abilities available to him. Everything would have been child's play if he had.

"I'm Kagewaki Hitomi, and you are?"

Considering the dress and attire, Naoto figured that this male wasn't from 'her world' so to speak. So mentioning her 'last name' would not mean much. "Naoto," she said, introducing herself.

Naraku considered the name, but found nothing of note. Often, names said something about a person. For instance, his own was accurate in describing his malicious intentions.

"It's nice to meet you." Kagewaki and his penchant for niceties...

"Have you been here for long?"

"Depends on what you call long." The weight of her words were a bit heavy. She needed to leave here, get out. She had more important things going on at home.

Time moved differently for Naraku, but from what he understood of humans and their transient, fleeting lives, he was able to form a suitable answer.

"A month? A year? I would really rather be amongst familiar evils, if I must."

"Couple of weeks, something like that. Not like there's a calender around to keep track of the days." Naoto shrugged, honestly not sure of how long she had been on the island.

"I can't imagine there would be," Naraku replied. He had a very accurate internal clock, but there was no need to let anyone know that.
