007 - Written, because Dorian looks and feels like crap.

[Public.]

What has been going on here? I emerged from my room a few days back to get some dinner, and everyone was singing. Is that what cabin fever looks like?

[Dorian was not affected, and after a certain point, he hid in his room and overindulged in alcohol. Not being used to truly feeling the after-effects of such, he's been rather a miserable ( Read more... )

You did not offend me at all. I was worried as a warden I may be violating some sort of statute that was not dictated to me when I arrived in... what almost transgressed.

I was unaware of any such limitations.

[Dorian does not elaborate, but he is aware of more than one instance of wardens sleeping with inmates... he has even done so. Perhaps more than once. He hasn't kept track.]

So it was later confirmed to me that such regulations are not in place. You were also very intoxicated, and the last encounter I had with someone in such a state ended regrettably.

I am frequently intoxicated. It does not affect my judgment so much as you seem to fear. I know what I want, and would not have made an advance on you in the first place had I not wanted it.

You may blame House for the smoke. I believe he can be found in the infirmary if you wish to do him bodily harm.

Please don't send people to the infirmary to inflict bodily harm, yeah? I really don't wanna need to clean it up.

Oh, of course.

[Dorian vaguely remembers reading something about a flood amongst all the nonsense. Dorian still finds it a challenge to sort through all of the noise on the network to find anything important. He is used to written letters.]

Do you know, does it flood here often? That was dreadfully annoying.

It happens with an alarming regularly. Not this particular flood, but taking on water at all. We've had a variety of floods in the past, and this one was fairly harmless. In the past several months, we've had about two a month on average.

The Admiral really is bad at his navigation.

Mostly bored, I'm afraid, but that can be refreshing in this place.

I am not bored, persay, I merely feel awful.

I had not realized that with drinking came hangovers.

[Yes, plural.]
