He just sprawled out on his bed and tried to ignore the pain.

Mikaela had heard Sam come in and she could tell that he was in pain.

This... was not something she liked. This meant someone was going to be hurt.

"Sam? What happened?"

"Got my ass kicked," he said with a groan. It was a sign of the pain that he actually answered her question. "By a girl."

"Looked like the Demonology teacher to me," Sam said, trying to push himself up into a sitting position. "Except I'm pretty sure it wasn't her."
