Okay so. I've decided to keep Hiruma's memories. But! There's going to be some subtle changes to his personality that maybe someone like Kairi might notice right away.
Let's go with my cop-out route that Hiruma just woke up one morning and found himself back in the ES21 world exactly where he left off. HAPPINESS JOY he dives right back into football and his team. Lots of things happen! Like the Oujou match! And his right arm gets fractured!
But the most important thing is - he builds trust in his teammates one hundred percent, a trust that could've actually cost the Devilbat's championship title.
But wait, you say. Kairi already pointed out (albeit teasingly) that Hiruma's got a bastard coating with a Creamy Marshmellow Center. So what's the change here, exactly?
Well. The Marshmellow Center is starting to spread out a lot more to the surface.
I noted in my app that I was taking Hiruma right before the Teikoku match. That's going to be right after Hiruma has this talk with Sena about the game. He waits at the train station where Sena is, just to tell him he'll work on a strategy with the assumption that Sena will defeat the "real" Eyeshield 21, and then leaves. Obviously, just like Sena figured, he waited there just to talk to Sena. And while he never actually said, "I believe in you," for Hiruma... well. You know how the social retard is. That's as good as saying those words right in your face.
How does this apply to camp?
I'm going to stick to what I wrote in my app, about the all-star coaching team getting annihilated by landmines (I love them rly). Now, because Hiruma retains his memories, he remembers the football sessions they had in camp. Okay, batshit sessions that never really amounted to any real training, but still - challenging and fun. With fun people he maybe kinda sorta likes and trusts enough to try and bring home.
So the Hiruma before would say shit about needing you for his team and blah football blah blah and WHO THE HELL CAME BACK TO SEE YOU. The Hiruma now will uh still say shit about needing you for his team, but! There's going to be a hint, a smirk, a kick... that it's good to see y'all again.
I DON'T KNOW IF THIS MAKES SENSE
but um you know, the last thing I want to do is make Hiruma seem too soft, so the same thing applies as before: if you have any doubts at all about the way I play Hiruma, please go to my concrit post and leave a comment!
