So I'm starting a feature in this blog called "What I'm Watching," which is what it sounds like: I talk about what I'm watching on TV (or not watching, in some cases). I don't want to bombard you all with a list of my fall schedule, because I actually want to talk about some of these shows, so I figure one show per post is fair. This may be my favorite show in life.

We have a standing date (since mid-summer) to have a friend over every Thursday and eat pizza and catch him up on The Office in two- and three-hour spurts. We've got him up to the beginning of season five. (We've been Huluing season 6 on the weekends.) It's routine now, so I hope he still comes over to watch the Thursday lineup with us once he's all caught up. :)

"It's just the ossobuco has to braise for another three hours, everything else is done." "Three hours from now?"

What a FABULOUS idea, inviting a friend over and making him watch it every Thursday! That's awesome!

The Office is one of my favorite non-SF shows. I've identified way too much with Pam in my life, that's for sure. :)

Oh, the Office! I showed this to my boyfriend when we first started going out, and we powered through four seasons so we could be prepared when fifth season started. So awkward! So heartwarming!

Have you seen the British Office? The first season of the British Office and the American Office are almost identical, and yet things just seem much sadder in the British Office, for me at least. The small differences really build up over time.

Thanks for commenting! :)

My husband and I had the opportunity to watch the British Office, but after a couple of episodes, we just couldn't get through it. I agree in that it was sadder, but I also think my husband and I just don't "get" British humor. :)
