I've been . . . wretched lately. I fully intended to keep regular posts going at this journal, and that's obviously fallen by the wayside. Don't give up on me. I'll get started back up. I've just been distracted with life and reading and some such, and therefore have not been posting ( Read more... )

Ah, I'm glad to be out of retail too. My first year of retail on Black Friday wasn't bad at all (1998) by my second year in 2003 was my first real taste of the madness.

BETTER OFF TED is so much fun. :) What three books did you start. Besides THE MEANING OF NIGHT, of course (and what's that about and who wrote it?)

Interesting. I just looked up the Cox and the description made me think of Dan Simmons's DROOD. Did you ever read that?

I've read the first two in the Hyperion cantos, THE TERROR, and DROOD. THE TERROR is my fave. :)
