Haven't seen any of Caprica yet; I keep meaning to fix this.
I agree with you completely about V. I like the actors; I've enjoyed the four episodes they've aired, but it's missing something--like it's too on-the-nose.
As for Stargate Universe, I eventually did watch the episodes that had been piling up on my DVR, but I'd actually forgotten about it completely until you mentioned it. It's trying to hard to be Galactica, forgetting that Galactica was more than just dark lighting and jerky camera work. BSG had great villains and some fascinating mysteries, plus protagonists who were flawed but interesting in their flaws. I have only seen a few episodes of Fringe but it intrigued me. It feels a little early Xfile-ish to me (which is not a bad thing) but that impression may change when I watch more.
