lol. well, she went there a few weeks ago, and just came back today. she went and presented the MTV with becks for something (donno what). and they went to disney land, but apart from that nothing much happened, apart from some certain newspapers made it clear that they weren't welcome, i dont see what's the problem. they dont shoo away all their other tourists, so what's wrong with the best? I just dont think they can hack it that the beckhams are genuinely nice people.

Just so you know, the people who were cussing Beckham were the TABLOIDS, NOT the american people. The American people, for the most part, were not aware that he was coming. you have NO RIGHT to cuss people off because of ignorance. Americans, as a rule, HATE the tabloids, because they make people like you hate people like us.

Just because you like Beckham doesn't mean the whole world has to. Soccer is a very minor sport in America. The major sports here are Basketball, American Football, and Baseball.

I agree, If you can't stand America just because our people don't go nuts over some football player then all I can say is that you hardly have enough reasons to go on. America is a wonderful country, and I am FED UP with all these stupid pople going round saying 'I hate America' and when challenged say nothing more convincing then 'George Bush is American' or 'Bill Gates is American' or what you have just insulted my backside by forcing it to be sat upon as I read your opinion of my country. 'Prominant Americans don't waste their time drooling over David Beckham' is not a good enough reason to hate an entire nation and spend a lot of time swearing about it in front of its citizens.

I know what you mean, I mean I don't think that it is a good enough reason to hate a country. If you notice Jenny does say that she doesn't mean everyone. It is really (I think) That Jenny is in a bad mood with America generally (look through previous posts if you want to) and this was like the last straw... so she got very very very mad. And to be honest, I know football isn't big in America.

She has her reasons for disliking America, it is just that this isn't one of the most fair. And it is the one that you and Morwen have noticed.

HAHA! no offence to either one of them, but every word they type just proves me more and more right about how ignorant some americans are. forever ASSUMING. if they'd take their time to stop ASSUMING, maybe they'll find out that indeed that is not my only reason for hating america, infact it's not even one of the reasons. it's just a back up point.

hmmmm...since it's unfair for me to hate america cause of becks, why do they sound like it's fair for america to dislike becks cause football (a beautiful sport) is underappreciated by americans?
