I loved the humor and love in this, particularly how "moving out" all of a sudden becomes "man cave." I also enjoyed the line about calling to find out how to make ice. I know someone like that. You managed to convey very well the dismay of parents who find out their daughter is going to move . . . five hours away! Thank goodness it wasn't across the country, or who knows how they would have acted.
