I don't think it's affected my attitude much this waking period, but I was certainly aggravated this morning. I normally at least remember having dreams, if I don't remember what they were about. Since deploying, I don't think I even remember having any dreams. This morning, however, I know I was starting to have one ( Read more... )

I hope you get a chance again soon to have a great dream.

It was great hearing from you on Rob's birthday and on the eve of the trip to San Francisco. Thanks for the call.

I almost missed it too. I'm sorry to say it was one of those times where I crawled into my rack, glanced at the calendar next to me and noticed the date.

Don't tell Rob, but there are a couple of surprises on the way. Had to send them your way since I never actually got around to getting his home address.

San Francisco...that gives me a post-EAS idea...road trip to Cali anyone?

Road trip? You'd need a month to be able to get there and back and still have energy and time to check out the fun things. It took me three days and nights from Chicago to SF by bus...that's only stopping to eat. Then I slept in the whole first day to recover from the trip. So if we were driving ourselves and had to stop to rest each night and be somewhat sane about it, you'd probably need a week each way. Granted, there are a lot of cool things to see on the way there and back. I can think of worse ways to spend a month. San Francisco is so cool in itself, plus it's surrounded by other neat places. The way I see it, once you're out there, you really should take in as much of it as you can.

So, any way, by road, bus, train, or plane, one way or another, it would be great to visit.

What's EAS?

EAS=End of Active Service

I always did want to go on a real road trip. Maybe I should take a few months off after I get done and just hit the road.
