Potential Progress in my life was made today! Today i got my class A permit, This means i can drive a semi truck with another licensed driver, i'm excited about that. I know one company in Hayward starts their class A drivers off at $22 an hour, and they top out at $25 an hour. In other news, jill is applying for a job with the courts in Arizona

seriously though, i would be sad to have you leave, but this sounds like a nice opportunity. just make sure you wouldnt be depressed in az. growing up in california creates a certain type of person it seems. unless you hate this state, i dont know how well cali people would adapt. ill definetly back any decision you make though. hope to see you soon man.

OK, so I know I've only met you once... and this is totally creepy random lj-reading, but I thought I'd throw in my $.02.

My aunt is a teacher in AZ, and loves living there. It's great in the ways that if you want to take a weekend trip-- you can go to Mexico. If you want camping, the rural AZ is beautiful. However, I'd make sure Jill had a lot of vacation time in the summer, as they're MISERABLE. Much of the population leaves, as the heat really can be unbearable.

Also, if you haven't already, I'd go check out the area. Get a feel for the scene, the people, etc. If you have a blast, move. If you're seriously contemplating how anyone can live there-- it's probably not such a good idea.

Oh, and make sure you have a pool. pools are fun.

my computer has a few broken keys, so i cant log into my LJ from it, but anyway, yeah you are totally right! i have visited the phoenix area about four times, i really dig it. but visiting the heat and having to work in it is two different things! everybody has AC though. tough call

Good luck. If you move, we're obviously gonna miss you guys a lot. I can't really offer you advice though, our situations are so much different, and we've always wanted different things.
