Huzzah for lunch with friends!
Also,
I ordered the new gown today. After patiently comparison shopping and haggling, I ordered it for 38% of retail value. Not "off," "of." Very cheap. I am pleased. Though I own three gowns now, together they STILL cost less than half of the average mass-produced wedding gown. And I'll be selling two.
I'm incredibly happy with this decision. I'll still have to work hard to make sure I don't look like a giant beluga, but the new gown is so much more "me" than what I'd otherwise have to wear.
Also in negotiations with a videographer. He framed an email to me to make it look like he was giving me some sort of fantastic deal, when in fact he was charging me more than what was on his website. This bride ain't dumb, bub. Try again. I could be totally misinterpreting what's in the website package, but his rates are high anyway, according to Kite. I like the job this guy did on the editing, but I'd rather go out and buy two video cameras and tripods for the ceremony than blow away my budget on this.
I love haggling. This may be the most fun part of wedding planning.
