Just thinking about 9/11...and I'm curious...where were you on this day in 2001? Everyone in my parent's generation knew exactly where they were when JFK was shot, and when Pearl Harbor was bombed, this is one of those monumental events for our generation

I was sitting at my desk, typing an email to a former friend of mine who was looking to find work as a police officer. At the time he was working Border Patrol in California; my email was informing him that the NYPD had been advertising heavily for recruits

I forgot to mention a few things. My cube-mate had two close family members that worked for the electricians' union that serviced the towers. They both were on-site at the time and had been helping people get to safety. Both survived, both had stories that mess you up just listening to
