actually, the cleaning fluid in the DQ wasn't accidental. It had happened a couple times, and the girl who did it is now arrested.

On the second, I totally don't get that either. How do you not notice it says antifreeze? And anytime I've bought antifreeze it's been in bright red or yellow bottles... not see through so I'd think it was koolaid. stupid.

Had the ajax thing happened more than once? i didn't hear that part. i did hear she's under arrest and charged with assault, I think. i couldn't find the link for that one.

With the second, it wasn't anti freeze, it was cleaning fluid, but still...labels? reading? i know if they shop in an industrial store, everything will come in a galln size plastic jug, and yes, windshield wiper fluid is usually blue, like some kool aid. but it does not smell like kool-aid.

just found the article, didn't say it happened more than once, just that she told several different stories.

I too was just so completely shocked at how careless these people were??? those poor kids!!

wiper fluid doesn't seem like a normal item for a daycare to be purchasing?? that was a confusing part to me?

I believe it indicated it was a home daycare - so a matter of 'home' products getting mixed in with 'business' products. While I agree mix ups like putting wiper fluid in a refigerator can happen - I am with you - they should be paying attention to labels. When you are caring for someone elses kids you need to be ultra careful and take nothing for granted.
