"Cause we are living in a material world, and I am a MATERIAL GIRL!"

Hi Y'all!!!OMG,the MADONNA CONCERT WAS INTENSE! ABSOLUTELY AMAZING!I have a new found love for the Queen of POP MUSIC!
To best sum it up, here is Gen never_doubt's Gen wrote the most awesome review since she's so "true blue" over her Madonna!!!

we left orlando at 10am on sunday and headed for miami. we stopped at my cousin's house on the way for a bbq and talked about concerts the whole time. from the time we left their house to the time we got to miami, a tropical storm was heading our way and we're driving down this highway we had never been on before with rain beating down like crazy on our windows. no one could see. people had their emergency lights on and were going 10 miles an hour down 1-95.

because of that, we got to the hotel late. then when we tried to check in, they kept saying that we weren't registered and tried to make us pay again but finally they got a fax saying we were, so at 6:30 we got a room. britt and i changed faster than mofos and then tore ass downstairs and waited for a cab in the wind and the rain.

finally, we got one and the driver barely spoke english. but he was hilarious. he kept telling us "you going to dance and yell and have fun!" the traffic was horrendous. our hotel was 1 mile from the arena... it took us forty five minutes to get to it.
then, when it was nearing 7:30, we finally told the driver we were gonna get out and run. he kept telling us "no! you get sick! it rain!" but we insisted 'cause i couldn't take it anymore. we opened the door and ran out across the busy street and our dollar store umbrella practically exploded and we got SOAKED.

we finally got into the arena and they checked our bags and frisked us and it was worse than the fucking airport. thank god i didn't try to smuggle a camera in there.

we headed straight to the merchandise table. they were sold out of so many things. i ended up buying only a tour shirt and posters.

then we got to our section and took a deep breath before entering, in fear that the "behind the stage" printing on our tickets was true. it wasn't. we were in the first row on the side, but could see the whole stage and then some. we could see backstage!

the lights didn't go out til 9pm, but when they did, the whole place went insane chanting "ma-donn-a, ma-donn-a" and since we were on the side, we got to see her warming up behind the screens and then she started to pray. and everyone on the side started screaming and no one in the front knew why. when i saw her praying, i started to cry. then "the beast within" started blaring through the arena and it sent chills up my spine. it was the most insanely amazing sound i ever heard. finally, the beginning beats of "vogue" played and the next thing we knew, there she was on the stage, belting out my favorite song of all time.

she sang "nobody knows me" next and then "frozen". it was beautiful. i noticed so many tiny things - the way she changed the notes a little on give yourself to me, the way her voice soared through the room when she sang am i gonna be a star? on "american life", how she made "express yourself" start out slowly. "burning up" came next and that was when the security guard told us we weren't allowed to stand up because it was a safety hazard since there was no bar in the front row. um. whatever. the guard was watching us like a hawk so i just bounced around in my seat, waving my arms uncontrollably and singing as loud as i possibly could.

the beats to "material girl" sounded through the place and she yelled out "i knew i'd have a good time when i came to miami!! this is where the party's at!!" she got so into the crowd that she forgot the lyrics and laughed and asked us to sing some for her.

"hollywood" was just hot. as well as "hanky panky" and "deeper and deeper" with her american flag outfit and 1920s dance moves.

she changed into camouflage war attire and "die another day" was belted out. it ended with madonna in an electric chair and faded out, then faded back into "lament", which was the only song to make me completely freeze, not move at all, and just stare at her and let my ears take it all in. it was beautiful.

she suddenly disappeared and the music to "bedtime story" blared from the speakers. the pictures on the screens kept flashing back and forth from madonna's eyes and then to her face. dancers hung from their feet on swings and swung repeatedly into the audience and back to the stage. the whole color scheme was white. it was the most gorgeous sight of the evening.

that faded into the opening beats of "nothing fails", my other favorite. i.freaked.out. madonna sat on a stool on the right side of the stage, playing her guitar and singing in such a clear, soft tone. we swayed our hands back and forth. i had tears in my eyes again.

afterward, i felt this rush of heat come over me and i felt the sweat streaming off my face and i said to brittany "oh my god, i'm sweating like a pig! i'm so hot!" and not even a second after i said it, she yells, while wiping sweat off her forehead, "is it just me or is it getting HOT in here?!?" i died. right there. we were hot at the same time. we had a moment. that was my favorite part of the whole show.

then she sang "don't tell me", which was fun. the music of "bittersweet symphony" played in the background and at the end she yelled, "don't tell me to what, miami? don't tell me to what?!" and we sang out "to stop!" and she smiled and finished out the song, saying she wished she never had to.

"like a prayer" started and she yelled to a couple of people in the front row who were sitting down, "now, this is a shake your booty song! come on, all you rich mother fuckers in the front row! get up off your fucking asses!!!" she told us all to clap high up in the air and did it with us. my hands were raw from it by that time, but i didn't care. it was the most fun i ever had in my life. when the let the choir sing part came, the whole crowd yelled it and then it was almost like we were the choir. you couldn't hear anything but our voices. and when she sang heaven help me, i got goosebumps. it was amazing the way her voice sounded. i will never forget the sound of those notes for as long as i live.

"mother and father" was great - one of britt's favorites.

she covered "imagine" and introduced it by saying that it was 35 years old and told us "get out there and vote! don't let other people make decisions for you!" then the lighters were busted out and the lit up cell phones [for those of us who don't smoke].

"into the groove" was next and she did a backflip onto the stage, wearing a new shirt which read "vote or die". missy elliot's face graced the screen as maddy sang and danced with a bagpiper and twirled sticks around.

she left out a whole verse in "papa don't preach", but it didn't matter. she and her dancers joined hands at one point and danced around in a circle like children and i loved it.

right before "crazy for you", she got up on a platform and said, "i'm dedicating this to all my fans who stuck by me all these years, through thick and thin". we all swayed our hands back and forth again and everytime she sang ..for yoooouu, we all pointed our fingers at her, and then she pointed hers at us.

"music" had the coolest effects, with the stairs changing colors with every beat and the flashing of lights everywhere on the crowd. she had so much energy.

finally, i heard the opening of "holiday" and a rush of sadness came over me because i knew it was the last song. i got a lump in my throat and actually felt nauseous and freaked out and i tried to take it all in. she danced around on the catwalk for the first part. at the end, she took on the beat of "me against the music" and yelled out all the people on the right, sing HOLIDAY! and they did. then she turned to our section and sang all the people on the left sing HOLIDAY! and we did. then she did the back and the floor and a never-ending supply of confetti came shooting out from the stage and showered all of us with red, white and silver sparkles. the sight of madonna dancing around in a bunch of shredded tissue paper with a huge smile on her face made me smile. she told us "goodnight, miami!" and the lights slowly came back on and we saw her leave the stage from the back.

it was so surreal. so much to take in. in the beginning, she seemed so small, so distant. it was like she was a fake figure in a dream. but by the end of the night, she was just completely real to me. almost like she was best friends with all of us. like she truly loved us all and wanted to come home with us and be in our lives forever. and she was so cute - her face and the way she danced and giggled.

it was the most wonderful thing i have ever experienced. i cannot even express it in true, meaningful words. they don't make words to express that kind of love. and they never will

I was truly blown away by the stamina and stage presence of the one and only Madonna! I hope that everyone has a chance to go to a show as awesome as Madonna's!She has a beautiful voice, you can't truly good she is on a cd. I <3ed "Imagine", the Scottish drum corp, and "Like A Prayer"! I got the cutest Madonna shirt, it's black with frilly pink sleeves and a black and white pic of Madonna, with a metallic M. Look for yourselves,

And that was my MADONNA experience!
