Depends who the check is from. If it's from a bank, financial institution etc I would cash it and I would pay off my debts, trade in my car and use the rest to get an apartment and furniture.
If it was from a small business owner, personal check etc I would probably return it. But then again, you sent it to me... ya know?
But if it were made out to someone I would return it and just hope that someone thanks me for being a good samaritan! ;)
Probably not but you never know. I'd always feel guilty.
Hell I still fell guilty for taking the $50 that a waitress accidently put in my change one time... (it was what I paid with, she put it back in my change)
