Jonathan watched as the news sank in. He didn't doubt the love and respect his team had for him and Patrick, but there was still a ball of dread sitting heavily in the bottom of his stomach. There was a difference between it being an open secret and coming out and confirming it, and it could change...everything.
"I'm in," Duncan broke the silence with a casual shrug.
"In what?" Patrick asked, squeezing Jonathan's fingers so hard a knuckle popped.
"The video, or interview, or whatever you're doing. Count me in."
"Me too," Sharpie agreed. "And Abby."
"Ste bratia na mňa, ak ste spokojní, som šťastný, a budem podporovať vás v žiadnom prípade budem môcť," Hossa added gravely. "I stand by you," he clarified for them after a moment of confused silence.
Relief made Jonathan's head swim, as congratulations and offers of support were echoed through the locker room.
:D I'm so glad! I love the "if you can play" movement. I was actually just talking about it with one of my old professors, who I took Social Issues with, and she ended up loaning me this book called "Dude, You're a Fag", about the use of homophobic language in high schools and how the words have so many underlying meanings, even if they don't mean them in a homophobic way...so pretty much what the movement is trying to combat, only in high school hallways. Should be interesting.
I'm...well, there will be a long ranty post here in a bit, so I'll save you the rage in the comment and just say yes, Chi is ADORABLE! And yeah, we're happy he seems to be hearing at least a little bit. As for the mother thing, don't. I've stopped caring (except for when I do, apparently). So yeah.
♥ I will follow up with the prompt stuff in a bit, let me get it sorted in my head...
I really enjoyed the story where Eliot finally had a fight on the ice and afterwards, Hardison agreed to strt watching hockey with him (and Hardison became a huge Kaner/Tazer shipper, which made Eliot laugh at him.)
"What?" Eliot growled, giving up on reading his book, glaring across the room to where Hardison was bouncing in his seat. "What is so damned important, Hardison, that you have to interrupt me on my day off?"
"Did you see the clip of Patrick defending Toews during last night's game? Could they be any more obvious about their love?" Hardison asked, shaking his head in amusement.
"That's what you were so eager to tell me? Seriously? That's it?"
"Eliot, I'm sure you're a little rusty, but you cannot tell me there's not some major subtext going on in their interactions. Just look at how quick Kaner was to- what are you doing? Why are you touching my computer?"
"Shut up," Eliot ordered as he was typing, pecking out the keys slowly. "Here, watch this."
Hardison shot him a suspicious look, but clicked play. Eliot watched the other man's face (not the video, he'd already seen it a dozen times), and grinned as his eyes widened and his jaw dropped.
"Did they- how did I- is that real?" Hardison babbled, restarting the video
( ... )
And I'm sorry it didn't really adhere to your prompt. My brain decided to do something different. But I'll take another stab at it, see if I can get closer to what you requested.
