Complete Finality

I hate journaling software so much...I just spent close to an hour typing out an entry about the last harry potter book and poof. gone.

So rather than go into a tedious and labored reiteration of my lost thought processes, I'll elect to continue, finishing thankfully with the main thrust of what I had been writing.

I think my only real problem with the book was my inability to identify with the main characters experiences growing up. But I think that's because he followed a path that is very typical for a child growing into adolesence and I didn't. I have learned recently that I have had a very weird life and missed out on a lot of experiences that most children and teenagers go through ( ... )

I don't think the epilogue is final. If you look at her sentence, she mentions that Harry's scar had not hurt in 19 years-- she doesn't mention that it "never hurt again."

While things are constant for 19 years, it is unclear what will happen after that. If Voldemort is vanquished forever, then surely someone else will come along. The fact that she makes an effort to mention how Albus Severus resembles Harry, and how he has Ginny ("his mother's") eyes makes me think that she's reserving a place in line, should she ever be compelled to continue the story.
