Big & Tall stores

Why do Big & Tall stores put a limit on what sizes they will carry in house??? And why does that limit have to be one size smaller than I need?? :(

I can't believe they have a size limit. Isn't there supposed to MEANING to the world BIG and TALL? I had this friend who was 5'7"and weighed like 350 pounds and he used to find stuff there. And man, he was WIIIIIDE LOL :)

Back in the day when I was the only tall woman on the planet, I gave Big&Tall stores a shot. I found that I was neither big enough nor tall enough. It seemed like I needed to be wider to get pants in the right length. Because, obviously, no one needs a 36 waist and a 39 inseam.
And YET, women's shoes in my size? All come with heels. I do not understand.
