Why is it so fucking hard to call an employee to tell them they don't have to be until later, instead of waiting for them to walk in the door? I'm not psychic. I can't predict schedule changes, or sales vs labour. Hence, a phone call would be appropriate to inform me sales are low, labour is high, and I'm not needed until later and save me the walk ( Read more... )

That's exactly why I'm a Mary Kay consultant. I'm never early or late because it's up to me when I work. *skips through daisies* la la la lala

I'm absolutely no good at sales. I'm not aggressive enough. PLus I wouldn't be able to deal with the hassles of collecting cash, and worrying what to do if someone decides not to pay.

I don't make an order until I have the money in my hand. People are flaky. I figure if they don't have th emoney right then to buy it, that probably won't have the money to later when it gets there.It's just easier for everyone that way.
