[The camera turns on and you see a very happy looking Nill. She bobs her head and waves a few times, and then tips her head off to the side. Very slowly, she uses the sign language that she was taught previously during her time in Desai. 'H-E-L-L-O'

There's one final smile, and then the camera clicks off.]

[Vash! Hey, she knows you. You get a big smile and a wave, and Nill spelling out your name in sign language.]

[She nods, and points at him, head tipping off to the side.]

[Nill is a bustle of excitement and she can barely contain it as she laughs, nearly shaking with joy. Her grin is wide and bright as she leans in cloooose to the camera, and she tries to rapidly sign out his name. In the end, she's just too excited, so she mouths it instead. 'Ryoji!']

It feels like it's been a long time! I never thought I'd be saying something that. How have you been? Minato will be happy to see you, too.

[devoicing]

[Nill grins and waves, smiling excitedly. She's glad to see you, Sheska!]

It's good to see you, and looking so well! Are you here for a visit, or to stay for a while?

[She slowly signs out her name, and then points at the camera, head tipped to the side. She wants to know his name, she doesn't remember him.]

[He signs his name back, then waves.]

[She waves back, smiling, and then signs her own name.]

[his face may be as impassive as ever, but there's a fierce and definite warmth in his eyes. he signs out his greeting slowly and deliberately, as though he's been practicing it.]

"Welcome back."

[.... actually what his hands say is more like "welcome to cairo", but he's too excited to notice his slip-up.]

[devoicing]

[It's okay, Nill doesn't know the difference anyway. She's nearly bursting with excitement, and her hands are moving too quickly to actually sign anything in her attempt to sign his name. So she takes a steadying breath and bites down on her lip, and waves her hand. Smiling brightly, she leans in close to the camera, until her nose bumps into it. You can just barely see her mouth but she does manage to mouth out his name.]

[okay, that gets him to crack a sudden smile. he waves back, and casts a quick glance around his surroundings. once he's sure he has some privacy, he leans in closer to his own device until his face nearly takes up the entire picture - it's the nearest thing to a hug he can manage over the network.]
