Very glad you're OK! Sorry your adventure was more adventuresome than mine.

(Another friend of mine was on a train that was stopped between Kendall and Charles and had to walk along the rocky railbed in heels. Minus the heels part, though, I think I would have kind of enjoyed that. At least she should have been sufficiently far away from the smoke.)

Man, I would totally have preferred "walking along the railbed" to "waiting for buses." Next time the T has an emergency while I'm on it, I will insist on that sort of service diversion. :)

Whoa. Glad to hear the worst that happened to you was boarding a bus you wanted to be on anyhow without doing so voluntarily.

And now you have an awesome story to pull out at parties and tell the grandkids.

I think I will insist upon grandchildren, just so that I can tell this story. If my (potential) progeny don't oblige, then I will adopt some.
