Did you see it on DVD or in the theater? Seeing the comparison between the theatrical subbing and the sparse DVD version gave me a fit. Luckily, I still loved it and want to see it again and the NetFlix watch it now version has the theatrical subs.
Did you read the book? I just ordered it from Powells.

We saw it in the theater, fortunately. I wanted to get the DVD but Blake warned me about the subtitles -- hooray for Netflix! (Grace came for me today, but I don't have time to watch it until the weekend. Alas.)

I've been meaning to read the book since I discovered that it was a book (always feel like I'm late to that) but haven't had too much free time for pleasure reading lately. It's been more copyright/patent/preservation/horribleness reading.

I just watched this movie last night, partly because netflix predicted it would be a 5/5 star fit for my movie tastes, and partly because of this review.

I really, really liked it. I haven't fully processed all of the reasons why, but it resonates with me.

Netflix has an eerie ability to gauge what I would and wouldn't enjoy.

It's such a lovely story about two people who are on the outside (but for different reasons) and how they're able to find a sort of solace in each other.

I'm anxiously waiting for the book to arrive from Powell's now.

Glad you liked it.
