Hi, I'm an NU alum (1991!) who's going back this fall for grad school. I just joined the Northwestern LJ community and saw your recent post.

My wife and I have moved around a lot and we always make it a point to see HS productions, whether we know anybody in them or not. Because (since I'm sure you know) what young performers need more than anything is community support--knowing that people out there other than their friends and family care about what they're doing.

And being (I assume) a theatre major at NU, you're in a great position to hang around after the show, share your story with them, and inspire them as well.
