Season 3 of Buffy is super depressing.

So many problems with Buffy/Angel, Willow/Oz, and Xander/Cordelia.

Season 4 of Buffy is the only one I can still watch. Which is weird because it was totally the worst season when I actually watched it. It's so funny! And everything works out. It's the only non-nihilistic season of Buffy.
