Do you even know how the ranking system changes? Apparently not.

If you come into second, you still gain points toward a higher level. If you're in the middle of ranking, you won't lose points or gain points, if you're last you lose the highest amount of points.

It's not really an ALL OR NOTHING deal here.

We're talking about Halo 2, right?
