I always thought I was one of the weird one's... my grandparents died 12 years ago, all of them within a 6 month space, and people I know older than me still have theirs...

There are moments it's really hard, especially just before, when you know you only have so much time left. All I can say, because I didn't, is spend as much time as you can while you've got it. Even if you're totally bored, it will mean something very dear to you later.
