The big VoIP provider these days is VonageFor $24.99 / month, you get unlimited calls to anywhere in the US, Canada, Puerto Rico and some European countries

Hey thanks for all the advice. After consulting with my roommate and discussing all of it, we decided to just go with SBC and then get the phone line from them because they were running a special of $12.99/month for the Elite package. $29.00/month for unlimited calls to anywhere in the US including call waiting, voicemail and caller ID wasn't a bad price either.

We want to wait a little bit before getting into the VoIP because she, being an attorney, will actually depend on the extra phone so we can't have it going down. I actually did try to find out more information out on WoW but they don't provide service in our area. It will be something to keep up with though. I do appreciate all the suggestions. I always learn something new through friends like you!

I've got SBC, which is now ATT - works fine, $29 a month.

Decided to go with SBC for phone and get the special for internet going for $12.99/month. $29.00 a month isn't bad at all.

Some people said they sucked but then other people (and one who I highly admire for his smarts said he had no problems at all).
