That cake brings the ROCK. So cool. Reminds me of when I was little and my mom made me a Giraffe cake and the spots of the giraffe were made from Lifesavers candy! And the fur was shredded coconut!

You can't tell from these poor digital pictures, but the buttons on the headstock of the guitar are tootsie-rolls. Zane cut them into button-shapes and we stuck them on there. Yum!

Holy Canoli! That thing rocks! Did you buy a mold for it? My kid would love that!!The tootsie roll idea is a good one too esspecially for a kid that's lending a hand.
I'm going to keep this in mind come my almost-14-year old's birthday next month.

well ... the guitar-cake, yes - There was a mold involved. It was about $10 bucks. I've seen where you can order them on line, too.

They're indeed cool, and I can't wait to make another.
