The problem is that in the mind of believers they have tied the word religion to the idea of a structure of beliefs.
Sure Atheists have a structure of beliefs on what they think is true about the world and what they think is good and bad. All humans have a belief structure. It is the way that we interact with the world around us. We don't put our hands in fire because we believe fire is hot. This may be because people told us fire is hot or because we have tested this by playing with fire and saying "Ow, that shit is hot".
Atheists do not have an organized religion. The belief structure of an atheist is generally unique to the individual. There are individual points that many of them agree on but there is no grand atheist way of saying X is right Y is not right.
It's interesting her first counterpoint was not a belief in goodness or deity (which was her point? flawed or otherwise) but was a belief in evolution... I guess the ultimate sin of the ages (point one for all of us science kids out there)
also it seems these religious hour posts are not meant to be discussions but conversions, not logical debates but finger pointing... I wouldn't lose too much sleep over it because at the end of it all it just seems like some kid who had a hard time at points in life trying to make the world fit neatly into boxes while being sure he's standing on the "right side" of the line
