ok so on this damn campus student workers are only allowed to work 30 hrs which i guess is understandable. But now for some damn reason the labs that i teach (i'm only in class about 2 hrs) are worth 4 1/2 hrs which screws me over at the tutoring job. So instead of being able to work 26 hrs i have to work 17 which means i lose over $100 every pay ( Read more... )

Oh, I so agree too. I got hired for the paper last week, but I can't get paid until they lift the damn 'hiring freeze' bullshit.

Working for ANY school sucks...especially when it's a college/university. Ryan JUST got paid from his job and it's been a month and a half. I had to pay for my cell phone bill, both our rent, and food. By the time my money ran out, the only food for us in the house was a can of soup, three ramen, and frozen veggies that would only feed one person. We couldn't buy food because none of us had ANY money and Ryan lost his wallet. Finally, RYan got his driver license and his Sam's card, so his mother has been feeding us since, seriously. They owe him and me in turn, unleast $300! So yeah, I know it sucks soooo bad. Although, MB (cause I know that's you) I never heard of a freeze hold, I swear they will try ANYTHING not to pay us! But to both you, I'm sorry that the one place that all our money goes to, is the place that fucking stabs us in the back everytime our backs are turned...which why we got to band together and stick it to the man!

Didn't know you got that upset over it....Sorry Kristen. But hey at least you did well on your DE test. That's very impressive. Just remember that money isn't synonymous with appreciation. You are very well appreciated even though you're not making as much as you were. Maybe it's just another example of where life just isn't fair. See you tomorrow :)
