hello.

i am choosing to spend a little bit of my day explaining something that most people around me think is ludicrous, unworthy of discussion, & that basically doesn't exist.

All perceptions of external enemies are a projection of your own ego. All nervousness comes from ego.
Keep a thumb down on ego, and you will keep a thumb down on your anxieties.

tell that to people with PTSD.
yeah i get it - anxiety is a survival mechanism, & why would you want to survive if you were totally absent of ego, etc.
anxiety disorder is when you experience survival-level of anxiety in non-survival situations.
that's actually not exclusively an ego thing. it's a little bit more complex than that. we can reduce everything down to expressions of ego, but, uh, you know, that's not solving anything. (& on a larger note, why would you want to continue to function in western capitalist society if you truly did have a thumb down on your ego? where would you go instead? would you still be anxious there? probably not. so there's yr circle).
