I wondered why my family chose Fort Lauderdale during spring break as place for a family vacation. Now I know. They aren't my family. My parents booked luxury suites with huge beds, a sitting room, a wet bar, and two HD TV sets. Three of them. My parents. The ones that grew up in the Depression. The ones that agonize over spending 75 cents
