Those of you who know me know how terrified I am of the dentist. There are many layers to the horror, I feel. The smell is nauseating at the dentist office, latex mixed with fluoride and bad breath. The experience of visiting the dentist, no matter if it is only for a routine cleaning, is always painful and uncomfortable. And, in my experience ( Read more... )

Hahahha. Thanks, I am up late grading (or, in this case, not grading), and I needed a laugh. Don't fucking let them fix something that ain't broke. And when they condescend to you, that's a definite get-the-fuck-outta-there sign. Sometimes I think it would not only be cheaper for me to perform dental surgery on my own mouth, but less embarrassing, frustrating, and expensive too.

Hand me a pair of pliers, I've got teeth to extract.

I think this calls for an angry letter to the office detailing the insensitivity of the hygenist and how you and your family won't be requiring their services any longer. She should be fired. Nay, she should be thrown up in the air, and shot. Imagine if she had given that guilt speech to someone who actually had relatives who had died in the Holocaust?* (*Hint: Don't be afraid to embellish the contents of the letter!)
