I don't even watch Game of Thrones but I think it's super dickish to post spoilers of something that's clearly going to make your friends unhappy. Books don't need spoiler warnings unless everyone's reading the book at the same time, which almost never happens. TV/movies happen on a schedule, and honestly it's pretty inconsiderate to your community to post spoilers that are going to ruin things for people.

how long do you think the statute of limitations on spoilers should be, by the way? is one week acceptable, do you think?

personally, i think it's unfair that people be held to a strict no-spoiler policy in perpetuity. and i know some people who are deliberately not watching GoT until the entire series is done (with GRRM's schedule, that could be DECADES!), and i think it's unreasonable to ask everyone to keep quiet about it for that duration, yknow?

I think a month is reasonable. It's not like you can't have conversations about whatever happens, you just need title your post "oh my god can you believe it let's chat spoilers inside" instead of "oh my god can you believe that he's actually Luke's father".
