Dear Yuletide Writer

Hello! And I'm sorry this was late in being completed and unlocked.

I always promise myself I'll get better at figuring out the generalities of what I like instead of per fandom, but it never happens. On the upside I'm easy to please. I'm in fandom for the characters, so you know, since you signed up for at least one of the fandoms and people I requested we're pretty much good to go as far as I'm concerned!

I prefer happy endings to sad ones, although that doesn't mean they have to have a smooth ride. Beyond that, if you can make it work, make it work! Any level of explicitness or lack thereof is fine. I would prefer no super-graphic violence or non-con, but beyond that I'm pretty unsquickable, kink wise, if that's something that strikes you (Bo and Dyson do wear a lot of leather).

Alice
I mostly think Hatter and Alice are lovely and would love to see them together doing anything. How does Hatter adjust to being in New York? Do they even stay in New York, or does Alice get antsy with the Oysters now that she's been to Wonderland.

I don't have a lot to add to my note! I just want the continuing adventures of Alice and Hatter being awesome, whatever form that takes. Alice the judo instructor! Hatter the wartime irreputable businessman with a heart of gold! I love the world-building and the possibilities that opened up in Wonderland with the fall of the queen's regime. I loved the aesthetics of the living plants sorts of over-running the industrialized city. I also like the idea that they've gone through all of this stuff together and now they have to actually get to know each other.

Easy Virtue

I'd love to know what happens after Larita and the Colonel ride off into the night. There's enough tension to make them lovers, but if you don't see it, just companions is cool too. Backstory on the Colonel would be awesome as well.

Again, I feel like there's not a lot to say? I loved that they respected each other, that from the start Jim seemed to like Larita for reasons beyond her beauty. They're both kind of jaded and fucked up, and I love that, these imperfect kind of kindred spirits coming together. And the parallels between John and Jim are interesting. Jim, to me, seemed to actually value the things John claimed to: Larita's independence, her spirit. But from the moment they pulled up to the manor and switched seats so he was driving when they arrived, he was suppressing that, culminating essentially in choosing his family over Larita at the end. And, well. Jim clearly chose Larita.

Lost Girl

If you're feeling shippy, Bo/Dyson/Kenzi would be preferable, but Bo/Dyson/Lauren is also fine if you're not big on that, even though she's not here as a character (I have nothing against Lauren, I just really love Kenzi). Trick is listed because I love Trick. Any rating is A-Okay here, because after all, what is a succubus without sex?

Really, any permutation of romance between Bo, Dyson, and Kenzi is fine, or just the friendships between them all, or casefic, because even when this show has its problems, the dynamics between the characters is really the best part for me. And the mythology, I love that too.

Things I love about them individually:
Dyson as service-oriented: his fealty to Trick, his self-sacrifice towards Bo (not just with the Norn, but that it hurt him to feed her), his place as a protector.
Kenzi: see the note below about Lauren. You never forget that she is legitimately weak in comparison to the Fae, and she never lets it stop her. Her reponse to falling in with a bunch of supernatural creatures is to go toe-to-toe whenever possible. The way that drive stems by and large from her loyalty to Bo.
Trick: is just awesome. There's a lot we still don't know about him. And that is a dude with a lot of dignity, but he can also crack a joke.
Bo: that her biggest strength among the fae is her independence from the Dark and Light. She can go places and do things they can't.

Also, if you'd like to include Lauren, really feel free. I don't have anything against her, she's just always been a bit less compelling as a character to me, a more passive/somewhat victimized weak human despite her wealth of knowledge, and especially when compared to Kenzi. So if you can give her a little more life than she's gotten to have on the show, have at her.
