it's my last week of full-on nights at the shop.  time is ticking by sooooooooo slowly.  so far the boys have only broken one tool [the router], but the night is still young......

sooooooo bored.

somehow knitting is a full contact sport for me.  yesterday i jabbed myself in the thigh with a #2 aluminum needle - ouch!  so far no jabs, stabs, or pokes today but the day's still young!  i can't help laughing at myself.  what looks so relaxing when my grandmother did it is so chaotic when i do it.  

yesterday i was prescribed a daily preventative med for my migraines.  today i have a severe migraine.  is that irony? karma? fate? i'm almost laughing at the timing.

wow.  this wedding thing is so much work.  and we're doing a pretty laid-back affair.  part of the chaos is that two of my best friends are getting married in may, and another two in july right before us.  so it's wedding-o-ramma 'round here ( Read more... )

so, how many times can i start the same glove?  apparently at least 4.  today i was knitting along happily, got about an inch into the glove and realized that i was using the wrong ribbing pattern.  d'oh!  yesterday i was, er, too relaxed and kept dropping stitches through inattention.  yesterday morning it was a case of way-too-tight-tension.  i ( Read more... )

my friends and i are going to manhattan at the end of april for a whole "bride + bridesmaids take over new york city" kind of thing.

can anyone out there in tv land suggest fun things to do?  i'd like to hit a night club friday and/or saturday night - but don't know any venues up there.
