I am looking to re-re-restart this blog (maybe I should scrap it and move on, but I'm a sentimental sort). as I was looking through old entries it started to make sense why I am where I am right now

Thanks Kevin. I know you have some experience with not getting a regular paycheck.. believe me, that part scare the pants off me. But sometimes you do have to ask yourself what will make you happy. I'm finally asking myself those questions.
i was surprised by the VISFI part of your post. i didn't know if held your interest I'd really like to do farm internship program either here in in Japan or the US. Best of luck.
Hey! Thanks! Are you in Japan now? What did you do after you left Nagoya? I know you had considered job options.. how did that work out? I am super forgetful, but I try.
I will tell you all about VISFI once I get there. I have really wanted to just get off the grid and focus on something I really believe in. If I don't take this opportunity now, when will I?
I've since moved back, and to Nagoya by coincidence. I live a block or so from Nagoya castle. I decided to just teach while studying here, take the JLPT, etc., until i decide on JET or not. For next year I want to move as far into the countryside as I can, and maybe do some WOOFing to satiate my urges when I have the time.
Other than that, I think about in what respect will I eventually return to the US. A bum with dreams of an alternative, sustainable lifestyle? Possibly!
