Book 2 - Introduction

This idea came to me as I was walking to school and I had to get it down. I have almost the entire plot figured out. I hope you enjoy it as much I enjoyed coming up with it and getting down "on paper".  As always, comments and suggestions are greatly appreciated!

Certainly looks interesting! I'm jealous of those who can do these sorts of things well - juggling two stories, adding in the past at perfect moments until you can get a fully formed picture right at the end.

There's not much to say on opinions/thoughts or suggestions until I know a bit more, but if you go ahead with it I'll happily read!
